The 2026 Impact Report offers a closer look at MIT ILP & STEX’s work throughout the year and the connections that support our members’ engagement with MIT. It highlights the industries and startup sectors we work with, the MIT research and expertise available through our programs, and the relationships that make these connections possible.
“MIT’s greatest strength lies in its people and partnerships,” said Gayathri Srinivasan, Executive Director, MIT Industrial Liaison Program and Startup Exchange (ILP & STEX).
Inside the report, members will find a look at the conferences, webinars, and executive briefings held throughout the year, as well as the resources and benefits available through ILP & STEX. We also highlight the work of our research team, whose expertise helps identify relevant MIT faculty, researchers, technologies, and areas of research for industry partners.
The report features success stories from both industry and MIT-connected startups, offering examples of how these relationships have developed into meaningful engagements and new opportunities. These stories reflect the range of ways organizations connect with MIT, whether through research, technical expertise, entrepreneurship, talent, or direct engagement with the Institute’s community.
Looking ahead, the report considers the areas of research, technology, entrepreneurship, and industry engagement that will continue to shape our work. Through ILP & STEX, members have access to a broad network across MIT and opportunities to build relationships that support their priorities.
This report reflects the reach of that network and the work made possible through the continued engagement of our members, MIT faculty, researchers, entrepreneurs, and staff.
