We are seeking 10 MIT STEX portfolio startups to present during the Startup Lightning Talks at the 2026 MIT Research and Development Conference, taking place on Tuesday, November 17, 2026. We are looking for startups whose solutions align with the conference themes and that are ready to engage with industry leaders.
Selected startups will have the opportunity to showcase their solutions to senior executives and industry leaders, members of MIT's Industrial Liaison Program (ILP), and the broader MIT innovation ecosystem. In addition to presenting on stage, startups will have dedicated exhibition space to continue conversations with attendees throughout the event.

All applications will be reviewed, and feedback will be provided to every applicant.

Selected startups will be invited to participate in a presentation dry run before the conference.

Priority will be given to startups that have not presented at previous MIT Startup Lightning Talks.
Participation
Selected startups are expected to:

Deliver a 5-minute presentation on stage.

Participate in the startup exhibition.

Attend the conference and all required preparation activities (including the dry run and preparation meetings).

Follow presentation and exhibition guidelines and meet all deadlines, including submission of presentation slides, speaker biography, headshot, company logo, signed consent form, and any other requested materials.
